MetroImma

An online community for Jewish moms

After a very long day at the consulate I finally am the proud owner of a VISA allowing me to enter into the US of A as a legal resident.

I will have the honour of having my passport stamped at the border tomorrow, and within weeks of entering the country as a legal resident will be the proud owner of what is commonly called the Green Card.

I will blog more later about how we spent the day – I have to decide right now whether I am laughing or crying or a mixture of the two.

We are so thrilled and relieved. 19 months after getting married and starting the immigration process I am finally allowed to legally live in the same place as my husband. The awesomeness of this has not yet sunk in….

Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes that you all sent our way today – you made us feel so loved and cared for.
