Low and behold, it didn't fix everything but Reuben is a different child! And happier, and more settled and well assimilated at school and achieving! Yay!AND at cheder, and reading Hebrew.…See More

"Jodi and Gavin, you are a daily inspiration to me. Caily's stories are incredible. How do your other children rise to the challenge of not accepting Caily as she is and being as remarkable as their parents?"

"I had a blankie until I was in my teens. It travelled with me out of the house only until I was 6. I remember I took it with me when I went to university on the Gold Coast. It disappeared when my parents moved to be with my sister and me. Oddly…"

Rachael Zavodnyik commented on Jodi's blog post 'My Children Need to Know That Not All Jews Are Good'
"Jodi and Gavin, I'm so sorry that the education community at your school has brought you to this. But onward and upward to family unity. Caily will have more from this from being with her brother and sister. And the MDS will be poorer for the…"

Rachael Zavodnyik commented on Jodi's blog post 'Do Jewish husbands have it tough?'
"Just think that they would have it so much tougher if they didn't have the wonderful women who help them create the amazing homes, beautiful children and enriched lives that they share with you. One day mine will come."

Honouring your parents

Lots of my jewish friends ask me why I didn't send Reuben to a jewish school here in Sydney, like Moriah, Masada or Emmanuel. It was my mother's dearest wish that Reuben go to the most selective school in Sydney, Grammar. I have no idea why. She firmly believed that religious education should come from the home with values love kindness and spirituality and that academics and social behaviour should be learned at school. That's the way she and my father educated my sister and me.My mother and I…See More
