Bears from Bergenfield tales as retold by Claire Ginsburg Goldstein

People share their experiences with the teddy bears that I send over. The story regarding the Boy from Elazar happened about 8 years ago, when Betty and Ed used to take teddy bears to the hospital and distribute them for their daughter Debbie. I had just started sending the toys then and there weren't that many toys to distribute.

Chapter FOUR- the Teddy Bear Trade off

"If we go into this arrangement, it is going to take up so much of your free time." explained Reb Maeir. This conversation was becoming a chess game.

"What great Scotch you buy. I was honored to be a guest in your house." Reb Shaya exclaimed. "Are you working on that deal to get…

The Teddy Bear that saved the Agunah and set her free

Chapter one- The First Meeting

"Please Reb Maeir, you have to help me. He won't let me go. I have begged him and begged him for my freedom. You have to do something!" exclaimed, Masha, in tears pleading with the Rabbi. Masha had snuck out of her house, on the pretense that she had to buy another loaf of bread for his children. She was hoping that no one had seen her enter the Rabbi's apartment.

Reb Maeir studied this young woman and wondered how he could help her out. An agunah could… Continue
