Shabbat Standards with a Twist!

Thumbnail
On a humid and somewhat threateningly cloudy Shabbat yesterday, a group of us spent a wonderful ‘Thanksgiving-like’ Shabbat afternoon on a private terrace on the Upper West Side.Surrounded by hanging plants, a working fountain and exotic fish pond, weenjoyed an incredible array of salads, roast chicken, roast brisket andvegetable soufflés (kugel would be such an underestimation!) you couldn’timagine on a summer afternoon… I, of course, the champion of fish, wine and fruit, came up with a few…See More

Has America Gone "Kosher"?...but is it kosher enough for us?

Thumbnail
Op-Ed ContributorRed, White and KosherBy SUE FISHKOFFPublished: July 2, 2010IN 1972, a TV commercial changed the way Americans looked at kosher food. Trust us — we’re kosher. That message resonated at a time when Americans were growing increasingly mistrustful of the…See More

Spiritual and passionate about food, wine and the experiences we create....

I'm always looking forward to creating the next occasion for bringing together friends and loved ones - from Shabbat to Sunday brunch and the always impromptu 'sauvignon blanc and brie' night with my chevra of girlfriends...
I've spent the past 15 years in the marketing industry, helping to create national advertising campaigns for many 'women or mom-targeted' brands - plus a few years even on Sesame Street...while exploring the next strategic job opportunity I'm formalizing and launching my Personal Kosher Chef venture helping to cater for and coach women and families in the kitchen...and talking about it! My love for innovative, international, quick, healthy and delicious food, whenever I can - if I'm not serving it! Though my friends put up with it, they are also my very best critics and prime beneficiaries...
