At 2am, when you need to sleep and baby won't, it's okay to let baby lie awake in the bassinette beside you. It's not neglectful. Just be sure that baby's been fed, burped and changed. Don't stimulate the baby with conversation. A white noise machine is a great investment, and will help your baby sleep soundly!
