Here's my response: The two biggest Orthodox schuls of OC are Beth Jacob and Chabad. Here are links to their websites. I think there is a large chain supermarket that now carries many kosher products. The schuls will probably be able to direct you to the market.

There is also a bakery (Sun Flour Bakery) that I think is kosher and in OC.

As to restaurants in Pico...some are more kid-friendly than others. Also, it depends whether you want to spend a lot or a little. It also depends on if it's the 9 days still or not, because that will limit your choice. I don't eat out so much, so maybe someone else will give you feedback about that.
