Curious as to everyone's thoughts on digital phone service. It seems so cheap. What's the catch?

T-Mobile has a plan for $10 for your home phone if you have a cell phone contract. Time Warner has a bundle for $100 basically for cable, internet and digital home phone.

We have the package through RCn and it works great....as long as internet is working. last week RCN was out in my building for 2 days and we had no internet, tv or phone......
