Whether you’re thinking Yom Tov or whether you’re thinking Shabbos, or whether you’re still thinking lazy summer days with the family, these cookies will be an unusual and delicious hit!
Chunky Drop Cookies
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup sugar
2 eggs
3 teaspoons vanilla
2-1/2 cups flour
¾ teaspoon baking powder
2 cups halved pretzel sticks
1 cup coarsely chopped peanuts
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chunks
1 cup raisins
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together margarine and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. On a low speed, beat in the flour and baking powder. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes – until edges are golden brown. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.
